MY STORY
From a cramped studio to a genuine obsession
“I didn’t set out to become someone who thinks about throw pillow placement at 11pm. And yet, here we are.”

It started with a 380 square foot apartment in my mid-twenties. One window. Landlord beige walls. A radiator that clanked like it had opinions. Most people would have just made do. I made a spreadsheet.
I spent the better part of that first year reading everything I could find about small-space living — what furniture actually worked in compact rooms, how light moved differently depending on where you placed a mirror, why some apartments felt tight and others felt like you could breathe. I rearranged that studio probably forty times. My downstairs neighbor started knocking when the scraping sounds began at 9pm.
Eventually, the apartment got good. Really good. Guests would ask how I managed to fit so much life into so little space without it feeling crowded. I started writing down the answers.
Why this blog exists
Not just decor. The whole living experience.
Most home blogs focus on one slice — the living room refresh, the kitchen renovation, the garden makeover. Living Ideaz was built to cover something broader. Everything you interact with at home. The way morning light hits a room. The smell of a garden after rain. The satisfaction of a kitchen drawer that actually closes properly.
Interiors & Rooms
Layouts, furniture, lighting, and the small changes that make rooms feel completely different.
Garden & Outdoor
Balconies, back gardens, front paths — everything that lives outside your four walls.
Organization & Flow
Storage, layout logic, and the systems that make everyday life run more smoothly.
Comfort & Wellbeing
How your home environment affects sleep, mood, focus, and daily energy levels.
The blog is growing. New categories are coming — seasonal decorating, sustainable choices, renting vs owning, small-business home offices, and a lot more. If you’ve found your way here, you’re early. That’s a good place to be.
the journey
A studio apartment and a spreadsheet
380 square feet. Beige walls. The place that turned furniture obsession into a skill worth sharing.
Writing down what worked
Friends kept asking the same questions. Better to write thorough answers once than repeat them forty times.

Living Ideaz goes live
A place for honest, practical writing about the spaces we actually live in — not the ones in magazines.
Still learning, still rearranging
New topics, new spaces, new ideas. The blog keeps growing — and so does the furniture spreadsheet.
